Home sharing not updating iTunes play count/ratings.
Anyone know why this is and how I can fix it? I even have this checked: http://screencast.com/t/qzSvdLiR1Tc
Mac OS X (10.6.6)
Mac OS X (10.6.6)
Not fixed in iOS 4.3.2 neither. So, it seems to be a bug on iTunes software.
The same problem as @theuserenjoys: "Status: On, no users connected" even though I am connected and listening to music.
I don't know if it's iTunes or iOS, but when I access my library from another Mac, the play count does increase. Only the iOS devices don't update the play counts.

Home Sharing Tips
Home Sharing transfers the media file and ID3 tag information. It does not transfer iTunes metadata, including ratings, play history, and comments.
Thanks mifra. But I have to say that it's not related.
When you play a song on the iPhone connected remotely to your iTunes library there is no need to transfer play count because iTunes will know that a song was played and then will increase the play count.
It's not about transfer metadata (which I'm pretty sure it does since you can see all the iTunes library on your iPhone), it's about iTunes not registering other deviced played a song nor even been connected to its library.
I don't see any ratings on my iPad when using Home Sharing so would assume it's correct.
Ok, it's a good guess, but I see all the item's metadata on my iPhone so I'd say it's incorrect.
