AppleTV to Audioengine A5

I'm trying to connect my ATV to my (powered)speakers but I don't have a receiver installed. I wanted to use the AirPlay to stream music but I don't know how to make the physical connection as the ATV unit only uses the optical audio/HDMI for audio out. Am I missing something?
