Pasting multiple lines of text into a cel?!?

I know that I can enter multiple lines of text into a cell by using [Alt][Enter] at the end of a line.
If I then copy-paste all the text to (say) a field in a FM database and copy-paste it back later (or into a different Numbers document) the lines will not stay together in one cell, but are becoming seperate cells for each line.

Is there a way to copy-pastea multiple line text into one cell? This is actually quite important to me, as I'm using this for quote sheets of multiple lines of products with specs...

Thanks a lot,

Allart,

Generally speaking, if you click once on a cell you will highlight the cell but will not activate the Text Insertion feature. I think this is what you are doing now when each "Paragraph" from the copied data goes to a new row.

If you click twice on the cell, you will have drilled down to the text layer and now when you paste everything will most likely go into that cell only.

I think it could be more complicated than that depending on your data arrangement, but I recommend giving it a try to see if you like the result. Or, at least you may get a better understanding of what is going on.
