Safari 5.0.4

Seems to load pages much faster and smoother. Good update.

GMail seems to have completely messed up for me. When composing, I can't "tab" to autocomplete the emails that are populated when I begin typing an address.

When I click the CC, and BCC links, they simply disappear. Already tried a reset, restart, close and reopen. Nada.

Seems to be working fine in Chrome.

UPDATE: Seems like the click-to-flash extension was causing the issue. I disabled all extensions and it began working perfectly.

I maintain a number of tabs in Safari from session to session by way of History-> Reopen All Windows From Last Session. When I installed the update and went to reopen my tabs, the first several were OK, and the number of tabs seemed right, but the rest of the tabs all say "Untitled 2," with empty address bars so I can't even refresh to get them back, they're just gone.

Safari taunting me with empty tabs... I'm disappointed.

Anyone else try this http://www.apple.com/ipad/guided-tours/ page using Safari 5.04?

I just updated my Safari 5.03 to Safari 5.04 and on going to this page, ALL of the videos will NOT display any video, but the audio plays. Just a spinning spoke wheel, and some streaming content seems to be coming down, but nothing displayed for video.

All other functions of Safari seem to be playing fine. I checked videos at OWC (macsales.com installation videos) and youtube.com seem fine.

I hope it is just this set of videos or the webpage coding that is in error.

I am running 10.6.5 (not the current latest 10.6.6). All my SoftwareUpdate seem to be up to date other than the OS & iTunes.

Many thanks. FIXED ! SUCCESS User uploaded file Extended snipe hunt worked!

I had FIXED PERMISSIONS. No go.
I then did check Secuirty Plugins Enabled (they were)
Extensions DIX HiQ was enabled, turned that off. STill no go.

DId variety of things, SAFE BOOT, cleaned caches via Cocktail System, User & Internet caches, PRAM reset and even SMC reset. None seemed to work.

On Apple.com main page, tried several iPad videos, all failed same way, audio but blank video spinning spokes and QT controls showing but not working, NO VIDEO. Most CURIOUS, the Apple Special Event for Mar 2 (intro of iPad2) did play fine, audio & video. No other videos worked though.

FINALLY carefully checked Extensions and there was another Divx extension, Divx Plus Web player for HTML5, which was also enabled. DISABLED that, and SUCCESS!

Something weird with DIvx components. I had long ago tried some Divx players, deleted them, but I suppose some artifacts, components still there on my system.

THANKS for the hints. After a snipe hunt they worked.

Safari 5.0.4
