iOS 4.3 has cut my 3G Internet connection

"Safari cannot open this page because you are not connected to the Internet."

When I am around my WIFI, I am.

Took me half an hour until it was back. Weird...

Mac OS X (10.6.6), Please don't tell me anything as useful as "re-format your hard drive" o.a.l.t.

I have had this problem too ever since I left for the USA about 4 weeks ago. I made the mistake of downloading the latest update prior to my journey. Disappointed as ****...I was four weeks in the states without any 3G connection. I updated with 4.3.3 yesterday but the problem still exists. Spoke to Apple today and they are apparently unaware of the "problem" ??? I mean what else should they say? It was suggested that I make a complete manual backup of the system and then reload from ground up. I am as P***ed as H*ll and am very close to saying bye bye Apple. Would be greatful for any help. Thanks John.

Hi Monika

Yes, there would appear to be a way to go back to an earlier release but I am not sure that is advisable to do as it may invalidate your warranty, given that you would probably need to download from an unauthorised source

I understand that Apple keep all previous IOS versions available on their servers and there is a service provided by Leimobile that points you in the right direction to download the version you require. I will not post any links to that site though as I think it would be unwise to attempt reverting to earlier software and I suspect forum rules would prohibit me from providing a link anyway

I notice you've solved your immediate problem by changing your service provider but I would suggest that maybe the best policy for future updates might be to download the updates using iTunes for applying later, rather than installing directly. That way you should be able to build up your own library of updates which could be reversed later if there are future problems such as this, which evidently is now only affecting some providers. I have had no further issues on the 3 service provider here in the UK
