iOS 4.3 has cut my 3G Internet connection

"Safari cannot open this page because you are not connected to the Internet."

When I am around my WIFI, I am.

Took me half an hour until it was back. Weird...

Mac OS X (10.6.6), Please don't tell me anything as useful as "re-format your hard drive" o.a.l.t.

I have the same problem, spoke to Apple who told me to speak to Telstra to see if they were having any network issues. Got no where with Telstra support, but while I was on hold and talking to a clueless support person I discovered the airplane mode fix.

You can tell when your connection registers correctly as it says Telstra for a while before changing to Telstra 3G.

Hopefully Telstra / Apple can resolve this issue.

I have the same problems with A1 here in Austria. But this morning I maybe found a workaround, so please try to verify these steps on your iPad.

First, after activation of 3G, i got no connection.
Then, enabling the WLAN too and connecting to my Access Point, I can access the Internet via my WLAN, of course.
Third, I switched off the WLAN, and -surprise- the 3G connection is working.

Note: After switching off the WLAN, i cleared the history, the cache and even the cookies of Safari! I am now able to access pages I did not called via the WLAN.

Is this a socket problem of iOs4.3?

Good Morning,

Since upgrading my 64GB 3G iPad last week to iOS 4.3, I have had problems with 3G connectivity even when I have a good signal.

I am with the three network in the UK, and until last week I had internet access for at least 80% of my hour and 15 minute train journey into London.

I had never experienced internet connectivity problems with the three 3G network, since I bought my iPad in May 2010, but since upgrading to iOS 4.3 I am now lucky if I get internet connectivity for 10 to 15% of my journey irrespective of the 3G signal strength.

It appears that there is a lag between when a 3G signal is available, to when the iOS passes the connection through to any of the applications including Safari.

I first tried switching the wireless mode off, and then switching airplane mode on and off, and at first I thought this helped but it does not.

I find that it can take between 2 to 5 minutes once a stable 3G signal has been established before applications can access the internet connection.

Because of this lag and due to signal drop out during my journey it now means that applications that require internet access, including Safari will not work unless I get a stable 3G signal with no drop out which is really frustrating.

I do not have the same problem with an iPhone 4.
