4.3 Flicker Problem

My ATV2 had been working great until I installed 4.3 today. Now every couple of second there is a very annoying flicker on the screen. I have a 1080i TV. Any suggestions? Any way to go back to 4.2?

When I first got my Apple TV at the beginning of November, it had a flickering screen problem, but there was an update shortly after I got it that fixed the problem. Today, after I updated it to 4.2 the flicker returned.

I have restarted, reset and disconnected the HDMI cable without fixing the problem. May have to give up on this Apple TV for I also suffer from the Long-Delay Streaming Issue with HD movie rentals.

My TV is a Panasonic CT-34WX54. Hopefully, there will be a quick update to fix both these problems.

I don't have any flickering but I note my tv tells me the signal it's receiving is 720p @ 50 Hz, it used to tell me it received 720p @ 60 Hz with software v4.1.1. My TV can receive both 50 & 60 hz.

I note (where stated), all those with this issue are from the US where TVs possibly don't support 50 Hz, if your tv has the ability to tell you what it's receiving, let us know.

To be more precise, it's iOS 4.2(2060) according to the "about" screen.

There is a flicker(screen flash?) at random intervals of about once per second for a few tenths of a second. And every 10-15 seconds (random), there is a complete video dropout for about a second or two. The audio is OK during all of this. It seems to affect every type of video including both menus and movies, including Netflix and home sharing.

So I have an HDMI-DVI adapter, which has worked fine until this upgrade. When I go into the About screen, it displays 480p for screen resolution. When I go into the Audio and Video screen, it shows HDMI set to Auto, however, it does not allow me to change this. Is there a way I can somehow trick the ATV2 to allow me to change the HDMI setting so that it doesn't say Auto, but rather 720 (or whatever options are available)?

Great description. I have the same flicker issue after the 4.2/iOS 4.3 update today. I have a Sony KF-60WE610 connected via a HDMI to DVI cable.

Having same problem as everybody else. Have Sony 60in Wega that has DVI only. DVI cable to monster DVI to HDMI connector. Worked fine since I bought it last year. Constant flickr after the update. Called apple support, currently told to due a restore, taking forever. Anybody else try this? Don't think it is going to work.
