Mar 13, 2011 6:49 PM in response to MBagnallby salbiani,I would love to restore a previous version. But as far as I can tell, unless you were smart enough to download you SHSH blobs, you are just out of luck. If you know of another way, please share. -

Mar 13, 2011 8:44 PM in response to AppDadby Csrbloodbot,After an update today (first use in several weeks) I am getting a flicker on both of my ATV's. Swapped them out with other Tv's to verify it is the ATV. The problem is very pronounced on my Sony KE-50XS910 (varies from a continuous flicker to complete loss of image and sound every 10 - 30 seconds. The problem is less pronounced on my Toshiba 26HL83 where it consists of an occasional line across the screen. -
Mar 13, 2011 9:55 PM in response to Csrbloodbotby rmunde,I have a Sony WEGA (CRT) TV and an HDMI-DVI cable as well and have the same problem with my Apple TV. I called support, went to the genius bar at my local Apple store yesterday where they replaced the device. Of course it worked fine until it updated. I think that now that Apple is aware of the issue, it will be fixed. All this worry is for nought. -
Mar 14, 2011 11:18 AM in response to AppDadby Cgbrian,Awesome.: apples update killed my video signal too..: I'd appreciate a fix and fast... I'll return the pos if it's not fixed in a week... This is annoying to say the least.. Way to to apple! -

This isn't an issue of systems with specs mismatched to Apple TV's requirements, it's a fatal bug in Apple's unit.
Completely agree. This was working perfectly until the latest software upgrade. -
Mar 14, 2011 7:15 PM in response to AppDadby Matt_H.,Apple is aware of this issue and working on a fix. -

Mar 15, 2011 5:38 AM in response to BradGarbusby BradGarbus,I keep getting reprimanded by the mediators for saying I am replacing my Apple TV.
I don't know why that is such a threat, but if Apple won't fix the problem they leave us with no other choice, but to replace the product with one that will work.
Let's look at the options - replace a $2000+ Television or replace a $99 Apple TV?
Or there is always Apple's option. Fix the problem... -

Mar 15, 2011 7:23 AM in response to BradGarbusby AppDad,Before I got my ATV2 I had a Roku. It worked fine, but I got my ATV so that I could access my iTunes library on my TV in addition to Netflix. I guess if Apple doesn't get the ATV fixed, I'll just go back to Roku. Unfortunately I gave my old Roku to my daughter, but they are not expensive, so I'll just buy a new one. I thought about buying a new TV seriously, but then said why should I. I am hoping that Apple gets this problem fixed and it sounds like they area working on it. So I am optimistic. I'll give them about a month, then if nothing happens I'll be ordering another Roku. -

I just ordered my Roku yesterday too. From what I have read you can use the Roku media service on your PC to stream your iTunes library.
