Mar 21, 2011 1:11 PM in response to AppDadby rmunde,It's called a usb micro and it's smaller and more ovoid than a mini.
There is a good pic at: http://www.google.com/images?q=microusbcable&hl=en&client=safari&rls=en&prmd=ivnsr&source=lnms&tbs=isch:1&ei=arCHTcXlIo WusAPC0InvAQ&sa=X&oi=modelink&ct=mode&cd=2&ved=0CC8QAUoAQ&biw=1478&bih=1026 -
Mar 21, 2011 2:02 PM in response to rmundeby jimmer111,There's also a nifty little mini to micro usb adapter available at most electronics stores. I got one for 5 bucks. You can probably pick up a full micro for not too much more though. Check out your local Radio Shack/Source. They should have both in stock. -
Mar 21, 2011 9:25 PM in response to rmundeby Ghillie,Excellent - thanks! Exactly what I was looking for, as 4.3's performance really stinks with my setup. -
Mar 21, 2011 10:41 PM in response to AppDadby Japester,What about the new HDMI settings? Has anyone tried them to resolve the flicker? What do they mean? -

I've tried them all and they seem to have no effect of the flicker. My plan is to go to Best Buy this morning and get a micro USB cable and revert back to the old firmware until Apple gets the problem fixed (if they do). -
Mar 22, 2011 5:35 AM in response to AppDadby Japester,The annoying thing is that it's not consistent. I watched about 3 hours of various content tonight and not a flicker whatsoever. If it does flicker, it's usually on waking it up after not having used it for hours. Restarting usually fixes it.
When it was flickering yesterday, I tried all the HDMI settings but none of them stopped it. Wish I knew what they mean.
It's been an absolute delight tonight. -

Mar 22, 2011 1:45 PM in response to AppDadby BradGarbus,EXCELLENT NEWS about 4.2.1 Looking forward to getting home to try it. If it fails I can always drop back to 4.1.1
THANK YOU APPLE! You are regaining my confidence if this works. -
Mar 22, 2011 1:45 PM in response to Brett Lby CaptainTrips,Anyone able to download new version yet? I have 4.2 and hitting the Update Software button on my ATV2 returns message saying software is up-to-date. -
Mar 22, 2011 1:49 PM in response to BradGarbusby hendley,This (4.2.1) fixes the flicker! Awesome!
Although my TV still defaults to 480p and the HDMI Setting is still stuck on "Auto" (my TV is capable of 720p), my AppleTV is now watchable.
