yes it's mainly on the lock screen, unlocking doesn't always work immediately + some artifacts appear briefly in the upper zone of the screen or in the unlock code boxes.
Also, and that's new, the screen (unlocked now) shows some latency to update the brightness. This is reproducible.
I'll attempt a reset of the device and report back if things don't change.
Downloaded 4.3 last night and now my 4th gen IPOD App icons are to large, the start screen is to large, I'm pretty much stuck! It won't let me do anything due to the size of everything - I can't get to any controls because they are off screen. Any thoughts? - I tryed a restore with no success.
I had actually thought my screen was faulty. Always very careful not to drop it but as of late my cat has been knocking it to the floor. The glitches look like a computer's video card going out what with the flickering lines and all. Happens when in lock and I get a notification, also my "wifi in use" swirling symbol in the top left next to the battery was also just flickering. Pity! I too sent a bug report to Apple, I just hope it gets fixed soon! - 4g IPod Touch 8G
I just noticed the same problem when my alarm went off. Lots of noise on the screen. I've had my iPod Touch 4 since they first came out, and never had this problem until I upgraded to iOS 4.3. It always had such flawless graphics, this certainly is ugly!
Guys you know how upset this gets me? I get a email from apple saying how their the best they are proud to have like ten million credit card numbers and the success they have, at our expense. We have s iPod touch the best device out and so many people would love to have one but come on, they should have a thing to fix it. Lucky everything else is find or I would want a full refund.
What gets me is how Apple's ego is so huge and they allowed this to happen. They pride themselves on being innovative and having quality products and software. What kind of testing was done with 4.3? If this was Samsung, Nokia, or even Creative, I could let this slide as a mistake. However, with Apple there is no excuse for this. I just hope the next update addresses the current issues and no new ones creep up. And if everything is ok, I doubt I will ever update my iPod again. Apple's slipped big time with this update. I wont ignore or dismiss this screw up, even though it's minor. I expectED more from Apple.
Just got my iPod touch yesterday, updated it to 4.3, and started noticing the artifacts in the lock screen and (less often) on the battery icon... was thinking I had a faulty device, but, hopefully this is just a patch fix then.
*so again* : even if 4.3.1 comes soon, and even if it includes a fix for the graphics corruption on the iPod, it's still a shame that they let it happen and last so long.
