NO AIRPLAY after update to 4.3 on iPhone 4, 3GS and iPad

Updated all three of my devices and the AppleTv....then when I went to check out the airplay from the camera roll, nothing! then I went to try a video that I had already played through airplay.....nothing....4.3 has deleted all the airplay icons on all three of my devices....am I the only one? I suggest to anyone looking to update to 4.3 they for the airplay features that they wait a day or two to see if this is a widespread issue. I feel as though i will be spending another 3 hours in a couple days updating to 4.3.1 😟

Edit: I did restart all three devices before I posted this and it didn't make a difference.

If the icon is not there then I'd suggest rebooting the devices while your ATV is on.

Airplay with video for me works fine from the camera roll videos, and from the Vevo app. I've had no luck trying to get it to work from Safari (still audio only).

I actually did have the AppleTV on the entire time....after I initially updated the devices, after I rebooted the devices and even rebooted them a second time....still no icons. 😟

Maybe there's a problem with your wifi connection? Try rebooting your router.

That happened to me once and it worked after a reboot.

I just tried that and again....none of my devices are showing AirPlay icons. Everything has been rebooted and still no icons.

I have this exact same problem on my iPhone4. My iPad does have the Airplay option for photos/videos but the button is gone on my iPhone4.

Anyone have luck yet?

My iPad works fine.

My iPhone4 can be used as a ATV2 remote so I know it's connecting, but AirPlay doesn't show up anywhere.

Help!

Okay, I now know it's not my iPhones or iPad! It's the ATV! I did AirPlay from my iPhone to the ipad using the airview app in the AppStore....and the icon shows up on the phone when that app is open on the ipad. However it still doesn't see the ATV. Now I differ from the person above because the iPhone won't even see the ATV in the remote app....

Whatever this Was broke on my ATV dying the update yesterday...because it all worked before!

My two iPads work fine, but (of course) there is no Camera Roll.

My iPhone 4 and my iPod touch 4 show the AirPlay icon, but the options are only for connecting audio, and the AirPlay icon does not show up at all from the Camera Roll. If I connect from a presumably qualified Website video, audio plays on the HDTV via Apple TV, but video remains on the IOS device.

Website videos from the apple.com site work fine, but videos from vimeo.com work from my iPads but not from my iPod touch 4 and my iPhone 4.

Could it be that the iPads have a better wireless radio, and that is the difference?

I think we are seeing different problems...because neither my iPad or my two iPhones work with the ATV. So idk....I'm still blaming the update on the appletv.

Same problem. Updated my Apple TV 2, updated my iTunes, updated my iPhone 4. AirPlay is exactly the same it was before iOS 4.3 update. Can only stream audio and play videos on my iPhone 4. Safari websites don't work. The only one I found worked is apple.com (imagine that...).

Also, can't airplay any videos from my camera roll. There doesn't even appear to be an airplay icon like in the photos app. Is there another way to stream videos than from the camera roll? Any other app that can pull the videos on the iPhone 4 and maybe it would have an airplay icon as the camera roll does not have one?

Did Apple just not beta test this before the iOS 4.3 release???

Got it! AirPlay works from the Camera Roll to ATV2.

Go to
Photos/Albums/Camera Roll
not
Camera/Camera Roll

on IPhone with IOS 4.3.

For some reason Apple didn't implement it in both places.

Nah, I knew that. I don't have AirPlay logos anywhere on my iPhone 4.

(Oddly, I no longer have them on my iPad either..)

Well, I feel like an idiot (kind of).

I decided to start the entire process over from scratch. Went to the AirPlay option on AppleTV2 it was OFF! Either the software update or one of my reboots turned it off. I cleared the password, entered it again, turned on AirPlay and WALLAH!

Feel very foolish for not checking that and not sure HOW it got turned off. Works now! Good luck. 🙂

Well jlake I'm glad u got yours fixed...mine however is still broke! I did think to check the AirPlay settings and it was on. As of right now I'm wondering if my ATV is actually broke. I did a full restore and it re-downloaded the update an restored all settings back to factory....still no luck! None of the remote apps (iPad or iPhone) will recognize the ATV nor will anything do AirPlay. And remember, all this stuff worked before the update for me....plus my ATV is literally less than a week old...so I may be returning it for another one if I can't figure something out....
