merging two libraries

merging two libraries

I have an itunes library on my macbook pro and another on my imac (both from one account). I'd like to combine the two on my imac. can anyone tell me how to do that? Plus, my iPhone lives on my Macbook pro. I'd like to switch it over where it syncs to the iMac instead. Is all of this doable?

Anyone have an answer that doesn't involve this thing? I don't want the same library on both machines. I want the combined library on my iMac only. Plus, this didn't answer my iPhone question.

Once you get everything that you want on the right computer, then plug in your iphone and sync.

It will erase the current itunes content and pics and replace with itunes content and pics from the new computer.

in addition to what roaminggnome said, PowerTunes will let you merge two libs into one.

iTunes cannot do this, you need a 3rd party tool.
