+I just noticed the flickering "lock" tonight on the front of the iPod, plugged it back into iTunes, maybe a few synch's over and over will fix it.+
    nop it won't.

    add slowness to this "issue".

Okay now everyone who has this issue, try and get a picture of the glitch asap. Ive been asked to get 3 photos for an apple employee but i'm having troubles 1) getting the photo clear with my digital camera (screenshots apparently don't work) 2) Getting the picture quickly before 5 seconds is up (when the screen dims, the glitch goes away)

Everybody needs to call 1-800-MY-APPLE and tell a customer rep about it and say that you aren't the only one experiencing it, and that is is an iOS update glitch. Please and thank you guys.

I have unfortunately the same problem since installing the 4.3 update but mine is less important than I saw here. If only while I'm surfing on the Internet, naturally there is a circle, what rotate always and this circle seems weird. I do not know, what I have to do.
And there is one more weird thing since installing the 4.3 update. Sometime if I wanna download a some apps from Appstore, it says to me like this: "please connect your ipod with dock connector to your mac and try again downloading" and if I push the retry button, this message appear again and again. Maybe this one is new thing on iOS 4.3 but it seems weird to me.
I am using my iPod Touch 4 32gb (This is my second iPod touch. The other one is iPod Touch 3 8gb and it has iOS 4.3, too but it has not this glitches.) for only 3 months and I have never made jailbreak and some like that and naturally I am surprised with this problem.
This surprise is not good for all iPod Touch users. I think only iPod Touch 4 users have this problem. I hope Apple will see all this messages and solve our problem maybe with an extra update or something like that.

I am having the same problem with the weird pixelation ever since the newest update. I purposely have not updated my husband's Ipod until this is fixed. It is really irritating.

Go to page 1 of this thread. Look at post #9. There are three photos linked there and even more in earlier posts. There is even a video link showing the problem in action by DigitalBlue.

@Skyler2020 I've put a video of the glitch and the steps taken to recreate the fault up here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Edz2t_qsZM0

Has anyone found a decent workaround yet or heard anything from Apple?

My issue after installing 4.3 is my screen would be fine at startup, but then went dim. Now it's gotten to where it stays dim constantly. If I try rebooting, every time I press the 2 buttons together, I hear a camera click. (Doesn't do me much good, since I have a 3rd gen itouch). That leads me to believe it's a software issue. I'd be happy to dumb back down to the previous iOS if it can be downloaded somewhere!
    Any suggestions?

To reset the iPod Touch press and hold the home button and the on/off button at the same time until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).

To power off the iPod Touch press and hold the on/off button until the "slide to power off" slider appears.

Count me in too. It's not bad, or reliable, but it is there, and only since the upgrade.

Does anyone know if apple has responded to this problem? How would one find out?
    Thanks.

I have that problem too, but when it does happen I cant get a picture of it because it won`t take a screenshot with the glitch, and I dont have a camera nearby to take a picture.
