iPad reset..

Helo folks

Ipad reset , holding both sleep and home buttons for several seconds til it automatically resets, is it necessary? recommended to apply from time to time? Because i havent done it since 5 months.. Is the poweroff will do the job?

I only reset when I have a problem that a reset may fix. Just powering off and then back on solves some problems too but not as many as a reset. I would only do a reset for a problem, not as a preventive measure.

It does no harm at all to reset your iPad. It can fix many issues.

You seem to spend all day here posting pointless questions.

Some apps will crash after install and need a reboot. sometimes things just go south and you need to reboot. rebooting does not hurt it, but you should not need to do it often. In most cases turning it off and then on will do fine.

Yes you are right, imagine, a simple Exit with the home button would mostly fix any app pops issues.

If you are holding the iPad with the screen towards you and held in portrait orientation, then the home button is on the front of the iPad below the screen, and the sleep button (also known as sleep/wake or on/off) is on the top edge towards the right-hand side.
