Abbey Road plays out of order

Hi -

I was elated to get the Beatles Box Set onto my iPhone 4 - but now I find that Abbey Road isn't playing right. The second side of the album should play like one long song - like a continuous medley of different songs. But instead - the songs play out of order. Shuffle is OFF. The sequence is unpredictable.

This is extremely jarring and ruins the experience of the music.

Is there a switch somewhere? Help!

Is it playing out of order in iTunes too or just on your phone?

Thanks for the reply and apologies for taking so long to get back to you.

The answer is Yes - in iTunes and iPhone - whenever I play Abbey Road, the songs play out of order - whether Shuffle is on or off.

Are the tracks listed in the correct order in iTunes? Which tab are you sorting the library on? (Though I'm not sure that would make a difference on the phone.)

tt2 - thanks for the detailed input.

I think it's fixed but I don't know how...

My iTunes shows the same order as you have shown. When I check the Info on each song the Track Number is correct. All fields agree - including Disc Number (12 of 15), Sort Artist, Sort Album Artist (which is grayed out), Album Artist,etc. Sort Album column is blank - I don't know if this matters.

I checked all the songs and all the tabs to verify they were as you stated. I turned Shuffle on and off a dozen times to check the order. Eventually it "submitted to my will" and plays in the correct order.
