Does Garageband for iPad support audio output over Airplay?

If available, I don't know where to configure it.

I have my AppleTV 2 working perfectly with AirPlay from YouTube, iPod, etc, so I want to AirPlay the iPad's GargageBand too.

Double tapping home while in GarageBand shows me the "speaker selector", but my airport express doesn't show. If I quit out, I can see my airport express in the speaker selector, and iPod plays fine to my stereo through the express. No GarageBand support for AirPlay? Is that possible?

iPad 1... Maybe needs 2?

Not on the original iPad. I use Airplay from several apps but no luck with new Garageband '11.

I have an iPad 2 and I'm unable to stream to GarageBand to my Airport Express.

Airplay doesn't work with iPad1, Airport Express and latest iOS.
It so much more fun to play this over the HiFi speakers.
Now my children and I have stand up with a wire connected to the HiFi set. Very clumsy.

Hopefully this can be fixed one way or another!

I really hope they bring AirPlay to the GarageBand app soon!

I can't find AirPlay for GBand on iPad too. Unbelievable that AirPlay isn't working on such an obviously perfect application for it. Odd, very odd. Almost seems intentional by some marketing reason rather than technically difficult.

i would imagine there is a huge technical hurdle; the latency would likely make it unusable for any kind of creation.

When the iPad or iTunes is sending music/video to an AirPlay Output device, it is actually sending the music/video file over to that device to play rather then just sending 2 channels of audio.

For this reason, GarageBand would be a difficult task asnit would need to send up to 10 files (8 tracks and 2 effects) over the network to play in perfect sync.

For this reason, garageBand would not be stable and you would have a large amount of drag.

Actually, I was able to get it to work for a few minutes, until I updated the AppleTV software, and now it doesn't work...

You are correct-latency makes it virtually unusable. Hardwired is the only way to go with audio creation software.

Just got GB for ipad...I can't get three notes to play simultaneously from keyboards.
Any thoughts? Thanks.

there is the monitor/play function which would be quite useful and would not have the latency issues.
