Help getting rid of adserver.adtechus.com

Within the past few days (maybe since the upgrade to Safari 5.0.4), my history is filled with entries like this:

http://adserver.adtechus.com/adiframe|2.0|5303|1781729|314186|5|ADTECH;key=key1 key2+key3key4;target=_blank;group=[group];misc=1299809261790

Hundreds of them.

What is going on and how do I stop it?

Hi Mike,

Go to ~/Library/Safari. Move the History.plist file to the Trash.

Now empty the Safari cache then relaunch Safari.

Carolyn--

Thank you for the response. I have done that, but I did it again just in case. That clears the existing entries, of course, but what's happening is that the entries are new and they keep coming. Something is sending out the request for these addresses. I can't figure out what.

Okay, I found it. It was one particular financial services website that I had left open. I found it by checking what it was calling. It was recycling ads for investment banks over and over again.
