Does apple cover a cracked screen if it was not my fault? I had a two week old ipod touch sitting on a counter top about three feet high. My little brother accidently bumped into the counter and the ipod fell to the floor. Needless to say the screen is now cracked on the outside. The ipod however still works.

    Apple dose not covered cracked screens as part of there one year warranty. but if you have extended Apple care it should be covered.

    Where did you find the the extended (total two year) warranty covered misuse such as a broken screen? I only find:
    b. Limitations. The Plan does not cover:
    Installation, removal or disposal of the Covered Equipment, or installation, removal, repair, or
    maintenance of non-Covered Equipment (including accessories, attachments, or other devices such
    as external modems) or electrical service external to the Covered Equipment;
    (ii) Damage to the Covered Equipment caused by accident, abuse, neglect, misuse (including faulty
    installation, repair, or maintenance by anyone other than Apple or an Apple Authorized Service
    Provider), unauthorized modification, extreme environment (including extreme temperature or
    humidity), extreme physical or electrical stress or interference, fluctuation or surges of electrical
    power, lightning, static electricity, fire, acts of God or other external causes;

    I am sorry for getting my information wrong. I had been told at the Apple Store. Probably a dumb rep.
