Midi Out ?

Does GB for iPad send midi to external devises as well ?

Also if anyone knows is there a way to send midi from app to app ....such as the IAC in OSX ?

Intel iMac w/4G Ram, Mac OS X (10.6.6)

The software has only been out for a day and the new hardware still has another five hours before it hits the streets. Seeing it's a $5 app and there is no midi out on garageband on the mac and the fact you can't make it work I'm guessing no. But doesn't mean it won't work on iPad 2... but only time will tell.

No, the GarageBand app does not appear to support midi out at this time. I tested midi i/o via the camera connection kit and USB. Midi input works fine, but no midi out data is transmitted.

Which is identical to GarageBand on Mac OS: no MIDI out.

Yeah ? I didn't even know that . I am a Logic guy so I have only ever messed with GB once maybe twice .

If there is no MIDI out, then can you get your GB file into a desktop MAC and load it into LOGIC PRO?

Can the Garageband app get MIDI input from another app on the iPAD 2? Is this possible in the system? I am looking for another instrument app to play Garageband without being built-in to Garageband. Can the MIDI data transfer from one app to the next like this?
