Call usage/date usage

i am having a hard time trying to figure what is "current period" and "lifetime" under "call time". Actually i wanted to check how many mins have i used up in order to keep track my minutes usage..

Secondly, for the data usage - we should look at the received "cellular network data" right? please help here!

Current period is whatever use has occurred since you last reset the stats. Lifetime is just that, lifetime useage for the phone. Cellular data is both sent and received - both count against any data limits on your plan.

If you want to use the device to track useage during a billing cycle, you will have to be sure to reset the stats at the appropriate data/time.

I guess we all have no issues with finding out "Data Usage" (Setting >General >usage >Mobile Network Data)

But, I am still unable to understand, Why I cannot findout my "outgoing" Voice call minutes and keep track & in control of that, since it ia a FUNDAMENTAL feature in any Mobile phone... but not there in IPHONE4 ????????!!!!!!!!!!!! User uploaded file

nokia phones have call register , i have seen in other small cheap phones have outgoing minutes record (& ofcourse we need to reset them every month's billing date)

I really pray that in next OS update apple should include this feature

You can use VoiceMan app to keep track of your minutes.

The best feature is that it gives you real-time automated usage alerts. You will be alerted immediately after a call, if you exceed your custom usage thresholds. Now you can stop paying for overages.

It tracks your daily, weekly and monthly minute usage, works with all carriers and geotags your calls.

Did you get an iphone or upgrade your iphone to 6 and now data is going through the roof? There are some things to turn off but I think I narrowed down the culprits to icloud settings.

First, look at your usage. Settings > General > Usage > Cellular usage. Reset statistics and notate what uses the most. I noticed about 1M of usage per mile of driving and not looking at anything.

I turned off icloud (unless you have large docs downloading this may not matter) documents and photo stream (which I think helped the most). After turning these off I used 0 bits. Using Maps to take me 10 miles used only 300K.

Settings > Icloud > Documents and Data > Use Cellular Data You may get results from just turning this off

Others which may be less impacting:

Settings > General > About > Diagnostics > Dont send

Settings > Itunes & App Stores > Use Cell Data off

Settings > General > Cellular > disable itunes or whatever else you dont use.

If you havent had any data hog problems then theirs no worry but I have rarely gotten to 1G of my 2 and im already 65% there.
