hello friends,
the situation isn't gratyfing. I bought my iPad(1) at chrismas 2010 and - you all know, without built-in camera and without faceTime of course. But I like faceTime. On my iMac it works fine contacting my daughters and my enkels. And now I should iPad2 for ~600€ again?

If apple would be fair, it gave the possibility FaceTime not as native app only, but for purchasing at app-store also. Needless to say, then I need a camera- o.k., there is a way to prepair an usb2 by purchasing a so called camera-connecting-kit and using an uvc usb webcam! iOs4 I had downloaded alredy!

What about my idea and who knows a way contacting apple directly forcing it to find the solution???

ipad, iOS 4, ipad1

Yes, if you need FaceTime on an iPad.

No, I do not know any way to make your idea work.

I know no way to force Apple to do anything, including "find the solution". However,
Apple's contact information is here: http://www.apple.com/contact/

My first try would be the Germany Technical Support Numbers in this page: http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
