Can you connect external dvd burner, lcd monitor, etc to the ipad2

Looking to buy the new ipad2 soon and was wondering if anyone had this same thought or question. Can you connect external devices like, dvd burner, lcd monitor, ipod, drives, etc. to the ipad2?

You can connect it to nearly any display using the correct video adapter.

You cannot connect peripherals (DVD burner, external hard drives, printers, etc) directly to the iPad.

No, kind of, no, no and no (to "etc").

But in all fairness, you can connect cameras and their SD cards as well as keyboards. I think there's one or two other things, but not the kind of accessories you're talking about. As pointed above, you can connect to displays like TVs and projectors.

And with the new HDMI adapter from Apple, you can connect it to any HDMI compatible display. I know that some newer LCD monitors have HDMI connections.
