Prepared for shipment!

Me too... Ordered Mar 11, 2011 at 12:43 AM PST. Just changed to 'Prepared for Shipment,' but the delivery date hasn't changed: March 18-25. 😟

My smart cover changed to this status briefly earlier today and roughly 4 hours later I got a shipment notification.

My order is one minute behind yours but isn't even in the "prepared for shipment" state. I'm in Steve Jobs limbo waiting for an order to be fulfilled. And just as bad, they are estimating that I'll enjoy waiting 2 weeks to get it. What a poor job of delivering a new product!

What model did you order, mine was ordered at 12:50 AM PT and it still shows as "Not yet shipped"
I ordered a black 64gb 3g at&t model

I ordered mine at 12:48pct and it doesn't say "prepared for shipment" either. No rhyme, no reason.

I stood in line for 5 hours and got nada. I was the 70th person out of 325 or so in line. By the time I got there there wasn't a single AT&T iPad left.

I came home (a 1.5 hour drive) and immediately ordered. I have not received an ack from Apple via email, but looking at my account it says my iPad 2 will ship April 1.

FYI: 64gb, Wi-fi only, black

I Ordered 32Gb Black WiFi Model At 3:45 Am Eastern Time.
Checked This Morning Prepared For Shipment

32 gb ATT model - black, ordered 12:52 pst. Not yet prepared for shipment.

I suspect the model type makes a difference at to when it's produced and ready to go. There are, after all, 18 iPad 2 models.

I ordered mine at 4 am EST and chose engraving for the 64G WiFi only black model. So far status is still waiting to ship- smartcover has sipped. My question is will engraving delay my shipping time?

I am seeing a trend that it appears the 64GB models are being delayed for some reason. I ordered at 1:01 AM PST & my black 64GB still shows has not shipped. All posts I have seen from people who ordered a non 64GB model withing a few hours of my order have already received prepped for shipment, or shipped notifications. I have yet to find a post indicating any order movement on a 64GB models..

It seems to me that only the WiFi models are shipping.

I placed one order at 12:40 PST and another at 12:42 PST. The covers are on its way from Sacramento, CA and should be here anytime now. But, the status for the iPads is still "Not yet shipped" targeting Mar 18-25 delivery. Both iPads are 32GB Black wifi+3G AT&T versions.

I think my order seems to be ahead of most people, but Apple may not have this model on inventory in large quantities.

I'm also a white 16 GB WiFi with engraving . . . . Ordered at 1:15 AM PST
I'm in no real hurry as I have a ton of work to do before I can deal with the new baby! (First iPad)

baforer maybe right. Has anyone received or in shipping state for 3G or Verizon models?
