Wifi keeps dropping on iPad2 3G

Anyone having problems staying connected to wifi? Mine is dropping every 2 minutes. I queued today for almost 6 hours......not happy!! I've done the whole reset connection but it's still happening. If I turn off and on the airplane setting it works for a couple minutes and then dips again. Any ideas what this could be?

Wendy, try connecting to another network. If you can stay connected to another network, you may need to call your router manufacturer for help.

Some routers, even when purchased new, may have very old software in them (called firmware). You may need to contact the manufacturer to have that firmware updated. It is also possible the the router is configured in a way that the iPad does not like. WEP 48 or WEB 64 bit security are two common examples of this as they are very old and unreliable security protocols.

If your iPad can connect somewhere else, it is really the router that is causing the issue. If the iPad cannot stay connected to any network, it is likely a software issue that a restore of the iPad will resolve.

I just got the 64gb wifi/3G and am having the same problem. It won't stay connected more than a few minutes. I either have to wait for it to connect or go to settings and do it myself. How frustrating!! What to do? The guy at my apple store had me check I have wpa2 security, I do, then restart iPad with the hold the top and bottom til the apple comes on method, and it's still not working....

Come on apple! You're supposed to be the best!!
