ATT 3G is GSM so it has a microsim card. You can xfer your existing iPad plan to it but you must call ATT iPad support, you can't just put your old SIM in or it won't be official and ATT can close your acct.

The ATT version is also unlocked.

Verizon 3G is CDMA which does not use a sim card so no slot. It's basically Verizon only.

I've been having the same yet different issues... I can connect to WiFi at home no problem but I come to work and the iPad 2 can see the WiFi connect but only get the IP address and subnet, nver the router or DNS require to get on line. I have a iPad 1 andhad the same issues but the last iOS update fixed that issue but when I got the iPad 2 same issues arose. I tried for a couple of days getting on work WiFI (WEP encryption for quest/employee web access) and I noticed I had my iPad bluetooth active, no connected. I turned it off and immediiately got online. I doubt most users are having the EXACT same problem as me but this was a very simple solution that fixed my WiFi woes.

Cheers!
