I would like to use iDisk to sync GarageBand files to/from my MacBook/iPad. I know there is an iDisk app for iOS which works perfectly for getting the files to/from my iPad. If I create a new recording in iOS GarageBand can I save it to iDisk?
MacBook Pro 17",
Mac OS X (10.5),
Mac Mini, Time Capsue 1TB, iPhone 3G 16GB (Black)
More info ... I moved a GarageBand file on my MacBook to iDisk then ran the iDisk app on my iPad and tried to open the file and it said this file type is not supported. Hmmm, I guess this is not going to be as easy as I tnought 😟
from what Apple has publicly stated, a future version of the desktop app will be able to open iPad projects, however there is no mention of the iPad app being able to open projects made on the desktop at all.
This is one of those things that baffles me - why wouldn't Apple recognize the user's want / need to do this? My band uses GarageBand on a regular basis from our soundboard to record demos, live shows, etc. and the iPad version, while very cool, is nearly useless if I can't use it "on the fly" and / or back and forth as a functional version of um...GARAGEBAND. :/ C'mon, Apple.
