Ok got my new iPad love it! But I can not move my apps to condense them to one screen. I know how to do it the way apple suggests but it does not work. Pressing the app until it wiggled then pulling it to the edge will not allow the screen to change and move the app. It just bounces off the side like it hit a wall. I can arrange them and consolidate them the usual way just not move them. So now I have 2 or three apps on 8 pages! I also found that when I synced the iPad with my MacBook Pro it installed all my iPhone apps as well. At first I could not understand why the app looked small then I realized what it did so I deleted all the iPhone apps off the iPad. Any idea why this is occurring?

Try using folders to store apps on iOS devices.

You can also do this in itunes on your computer, which is often easier when things get scattered too far away, and you can tell itunes which apps you don't want to sync in the future, too, by turning off their checkboxes in the list on the left side of the window.

How do I do it in iTunes? I could not figure that out.

When the ipad is connected and you've selected it on the left side of the window, click the Apps tab at the top of the itunes window, and then you can drag the apps in from the list view on the left side of the window to the larger view of the current screen page. If an app was already in another screen, it will just move to the screen where you drop it. You can also drag icons around on a screen to rearrange them or put them into folders. Don't forget to click Apply before disconnecting the ipad.

    Try a System Reset:
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.

A System Reset does not remove any apps, music, movies, etc. nor does it cause any settings to revert back to default.

Also, you might wish to download the iPad-2 User Guide. Pay special attention to page 162.

Finally, a less thorough version of the Guide is included as a Safari bookmark and a more thorough version of the Guide can be downloaded at no charge via iBooks.

I had a problem too, but I drag the app I want to move to the bottom by the email and ipod icons and then go to the page I want it on and move it that way. Very easy.

It is more difficult but I found that it does work.  You just have to delicately hold the icon for a second or two at the edge of the page and the pages will start to scroll.  Definitely not as easy as on my iPad 1.  Keep trying.

Holding the icon at the edge of the page worked for me.  Thanks.

Just drag the icon down next to mail and release it. The icon stays there.  Scroll back to the page where you want to rest the icon. The icon remains docked next to mail. Drag the icon up and place it. You can only move one app at a time this way but it is very quick.
