Mirroring not full screen using Digital AV Adaptor
I plugged in my iPad 2 last night to my Samsung 50 inch TV. It showed up full screen, then I rotated the iPad and it has only been using half the screen on the TV. Rotate it back and still half the screen. It shows 1080p on the TV. Rebooted iPad and TV with no change. I also tried a smaller Westinghouse TV with the same results.this mirroring would have been cool if it was full screen. The manual on page 168 says it's 1080p and video is 720p. I tried several apps, abc player, Netflix, and safari.
The only thing I can think of to check is in Settings -> iPod -> Scroll down to the bottom, there's a TV Out section. And turn the "Widescreen" slider to On.
I've never used any of my iOS devices for TV Out purposes, and we obviously haven't been able to mirror until now, so I'm not sure if this will do anything, but it's worth a shot, I suppose.
I am having the same issue when mirroring the iPad 2. It doesn't actually go "full screen". Apps like Netflix use full screen, but others don't. I have it set to widescreen in the video output as well.
