iPad back plate replacement?

iPad back plate replacement?

How much does the replacement of the iPad's back plate cost? I want it replaced because I'm gifting the iPad to a family member (I just bought the iPad 2), but I don't want to give her an iPad with my name engraved on the back of it....

Anyone have a clue of a cost or any details?
By the way, it's the 16GB Wi-Fi model, if that matters.

It looks like this particular vendor sells a generic-looking case, but there are other vendors that perform the install with a geniune Apple part for around $150. Just Google "ipad back repair."

Why don't you call apple yourself and ask? They are the ones that will ave to replace it anyway.
