Daylight Savings Time not changing

I have a Verizon Wireless iPhone 4 and the time didn't change for daylight savings time today. It is set to do it automaticly and I also tried to sync it to see if it would change but it didn't. Any advice?

I just determined it must be a local Verizon tower issue. My wife has a feature phone and it is also one hour behind. Makes sense, since my sister, in MA (I am in SC) has the same exact set up as I do (same model iMac with same OS X version) and same iPhone and iOS version, both got them same day (2/3 preorders - 2/7 delivery). Must be a tower issue. I wonder...

...yup, that solved it.

FIX: Ensure you have your setting set to Automatic. Then, call your phone from another phone. this should updated it (It did for me).

I have an iPhone 4 still running 4.2.1 (I didn't know 4.3 was out until my brother mentioned it to me today when he noticed his time didn't update) and my time changed fine this morning and was fine then all of a sudden around 15:40 maybe few minutes earlier even but definitely after 15:30 (Eastern time) it all of a sudden changed backwards by an hour to now 14:40. I don't know why the time would revert backwards after it had updated correctly at the right time of the morning.

I am in Toronto on the Fido network. My brothers iPhone 4 never updated at all today and he is running 4.3 (also on the Fido network) on his phone. My spare 3GS that I gave to my son to use as an iPod is just fine and running 4.3 now, so it doesn't look to be an Apple issue but for some reason cell phone service providers are all messed up.

I am in Chattanooga, TN. If I choose the "automatic" time setting, it tells me I'm in Chicago and gives my phone that time zone. It does work to turn off "automatic" and manually enter the correct location.

I tried the suggestion to call my iPhone from a landline -- didn't help. Can't use "automatic" right now, until AT&T fixes this.

Thanks, everyone!

(I repeat: this is an AT&T iPhone.)

When in doubt, and all else fails, reboot.

I had the same issue, oddly at 2:00 this morning my bedside clock read 2:00 and my iPhone 3G read 3:00. Then, several hours later, it did not register the time-change. I synced, no luck. Checked for update, no luck.

Doing a hard restart, by holding down the Home and Power buttons, seems to have fixed the issue. My iPhone is now displaying the correct time.

Just to add some data points... 4 brand new Verizon iPhones at home (family of 4). All updated to latest release available to Verizon.

1 - My phone did NOT change until I received a call from the outside. I did not leave the house.

2 - My wife's phone DID change. She left the house, switched cell towers, and returned home. She did not use the phone. I assume that it changed sometime when she was out.

3 - My son's phone did NOT change. I forced it to change by dialing our home land line.

4 - My daughter's phone DID change. She did not use the phone nor leave the house. This one's a mystery.

We use a network extender at home.

I called Verizon., as the fix was only temporary. They checked and said it was a know/reported issue for my area, and it is a priority 1, and they will have it fixed shortly.

Anyone in Greenville County, SC - They are actively working on it and suggested the temporary fix is to turn off the Automatic setting and this should be resolved in a day or so.

Just to clarify: iPhone 3G, running 4.2.1, on AT&T, in Chattanooga, TN.

When set to "automatic," suddenly I'm in Chicago. I have rebooted, many times today. Even erased the phone and restored from Friday. (I erase & restore fairly often, no problem.) The only thing that helps right now is to turn "automatic" OFF and set the phone to my correct time zone.
