HELP! Cannot sync iPod Touch to iTunes

Hi. I have an iPod Touch 2nd Generation. For some reason, my iPod will not sync to iTunes. I *have tried* resetting it, reinstalling iTunes, and connecting it to other ports but it still has the problem. Another thing is that my Windows 7 computer thinks that my iPod is a device and shows it as a camera under "Devices and Printers". When I connect it, it does charge but iTunes does not open and sync. The only thing I installed before it stopped working is Win 7 Service Pack 1. Also, when I connect my iPod, it opens windows explorer and shows the data on the iPod. Please tell me if there is any way to fix this problem.
