How can I go back to iOS 4.2?

iOS 4.3 was a bad choice for my 32GB 3Gs. I did not do a full backup before upgrading. Is there any way to go back to the latest 4.2 version? 4.3 on the 3Gs is sluggish at best.
Thanks!

You'll find the procedure on YouTube.

You can downgrade the firmware. But Apple won't help you. Just as Microsoft won't help you downgrade from Windows 7 to Windows XP (but many people do it).

Downgrading the firmware is not a trivial matter but people do it, because in any device, newer firmware is not always better firmware.

Never get an update until you have reviewed what the changes are. (sometimes features or capabilities get removed.)
