No video, only audio
Something useful enough to run Active X, Windows Vista, I work for a living... So obviously it's not a Mac.

I'm having similar issues, if I try and play video via the iPad 2 Videos app I only get sound on the ATV2, video is played on the iPad 2. Maybe I'm missing something because I can get the same videos playing on the apple tv via the atv2 menus and if I use the apple remote app no problems as well. Maybe I'm missing something here?
Video/Audio works using safari YouTube and iPad YouTube also apple remote app. As far as I can make out it seems an issues using the iPod App which links into the iPad Videos App, same issue if I use the iPad Videos App.
BTW if I try and play shared video using the iPod app on my iPhone same problem. I'm wondering if there is an issue with iOS 4.3.2 update. Apple TV did not get the update ?
Had the same problem. All updated, all just powered off and still my iPad would sent only audio.... UNTIL I downloaded the Air Video BETA server. That's the key 😉
sorry to take this off track but Andrew Lipka did you ever find a solution for this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/940487
Ok, I downloaded the Air Video beta server (actually called "air video free") at the app store and don't know what to do from here. Not many options. "Add a server" and "enter the server pin"???? The other great option is to "specify address manually"...?????? And then add a "pin". I'm lost. Can anyone give a bit more details please?
After reading many blogs finially got my movies on my macbook pro playing on my appletv via iphone 4. Here's what you need to do.
1) Make sure everything is updated. I'm running iOS 4.3 (appletv), iOS4.3.5 (iphone4) and iOS10.6.8(macbook)
2) Install AirVideo server version 2.4.5 beta6 on MacBook
(download here: http://www.inmethod.com/forum/posts/list/3594.page )
3) Install AirVideo App on iphone4
4) Open AirVideo server on Macbook under Preferences>>Shared folders add the folders which contain the media you wish to stream.
5) Next while still in Airvideo Server Preferences >>Remote, you will find your "server pin",
6) On iphone open airVideo app and add a server using that Pin
7) Turn on AppleTv, under Settings >> AirPlay select "on"
8) Now go to your iphone and open the app again, this time it should recognize your network macbook and the media file folder you selected, select the movie you wish to play and then once playing on your phone select the icon to on the right to connect it to you AppleTv and ... Volia!
If when you send it you still get audio only, #1 issue is you are not running the right version of AirVideo Server (must be beta)
