I wish that were the case, I ordered mine on the 3rd, still not shipped. My guess is that you've ordered an iPad that isn't in as high demand, and they've been able to supply you faster.
Wish mine was coming wednesday...
For people with a ship by date of May 16th, Has your order shipped yet?
Mines is still showing "Prepared for shipment"
Also, If your order HAS shipped, What country are you from?
Anyone here order on April 30th? What's your order status? My credit card was charged yesterday, but my order status says "not yet shipped." It's supposed to ship tomorrow, so it's not a big deal, but I see people on here who have ordered on May 3rd and have gone to "prepared for shipping." Wondering if anyone else is in the same boat.

Shipping to USA. Original ship date was May 16, Deliver May 17. Delivery date changed to May 23rd a few days ago, but that is the only change to its status.
I ordered on May 2nd, my Original ship date was the 16th, and delivery on the 21st, My status changed to "Prepared for shipment" yesterday morning.
I called Apple a few days ago asking if I could still upgrade my shipping, and they did it for free.
So as soon as I got off the phone with the Rep, It was showing a delivery date of the 19th, then the next day, it went to the 23rd.
I called again, and they gave me a bluetooth keyboard... I guess there is something going on with customs.. Have you called them and ask them to do something for you? ***** when other people who ordered AFTER you are having their iPads shipped!
BTW, I ordered a white 16GB wifi, and it's being shipped to Washington state
and I hope they use FedEx for shipping. (whenever I order stuff from Apple.com, they usually use FedEx)
Having read this thread for the last week, it seems that once they decide to ship, things happen pretty fast. I guess if it doesn't change to prepared for shipment or shipped by Tuesday, I'll give them a call to see what's up. I'll be following your posts to see when you get yours! I still have faith! Not gonna panic yet.

WOO HOO, My iPad "Shipped", The delivery date is the 20th... so here's to hoping it gets here one earlier!
mine was supposed to have been delivered the 13th.
try to figure out the last part cause it sure makes no sense to me..

I don't think you should be worried.. If anything, you should be excited to get it!! It seems like you'll be getting it tomorrow!
Pretty sure your package just missed the cut-off time, and Saturday delivery wasn't an option in your area.
I was very nervous after reading all of the replies last week. I ordered my black 64GB iPad2 on the 3rd of May. My original ship date was May 17th arriving on May 23rd. I was hoping to receive my iPad2 before then since I will be on a long bus trip on Saturday 5/21 as a chaperoning on a visit to DC. Last night I received an e-mail that my iPad2 was shipped and my carrier is FedEx (Horray!) I am expected to recieve my iPad2 on Thursday, May 19th! (Crossing my fingers!!!)
I ordered a black 64GB Wi fi only on 5/4 they ship date has not changed. it is set to ship on 5/18 and receive on 5/23
My status has not changed to "preparing for Shipment" -- it is being engraved so I am not sure if it is still on track yet.
