Why are you guys ordering these and waiting for weeks?? I just walked into an Apple store and bought one they had. 64 GB 3G model. WOOT! Mine was in my hands in 15 minutes.

well I wanted one for my birthday, so we walked into my local apple store and unfortunately, they did not have the white 16gb wifi only that I really wanted. So we ordered it online. And ps, @ jahson718, mine just updated. did yours?

Reply to Tgara: You know, I wish I had bought it in the Apple store, but I stupidly wanted to have it engraved with my favorite quote. Also, I called my local Apple store a couple of times and they didn't have the model that I wanted. Oh, and I get a small discount by ordering it via my company but I still wish I had just kept calling the Apple store. I think I would have gotten it quicker. It's supposed to be delivered tomorrow, though, 17 days from ordering on May 28th.

I don't know about everyone else but when I finally ordered mine last month, I had been calling just about everyday since they had come out and they were still selling out everywhere. I'm not just talking about the 3G model either, like all models were always sold out. They are still sparse now. I was going to cancel my order after this recall and just try to find one in the store but I still couldn't find a black verizon 3g anywhere.

Whatever, worked out in the end, got a free smart cover and a $50 discount on my iPad.

There are no Ipads in Mexico they are out of stock =( thats why im ordering from apple.com

My info so far............today my ipad move from Louisville....but never had an arrival scan...maybe its already coming to Mexico I hope!

I ordered online number one because I get a discount on apple products through my company. Number two because even though I have to wait I got the exact iPad that I want and I didn't have to worry about the hassle of finding it in stock somewhere.

I tried for about two weeks to get an ipad2 locally. I tried the Apple Stores, BestBuy, Target ect.... no luck. Thats why I broke down and ordered from the online store. Now if it would only get here!!

for that same reason. 64gb models are in stock in stores not the 16gb. i contacted all apple stores in nyc as well as bestbuy and none had the model i wanted just the 64gb and 32gb. so i had to order online. wasnt by choice.

Has anyone else had their iPad stay in a Chinese warehouse somewhere for 3 days?

Mine is coming today! SUPER EXCITED!

Finally my Ipad arrived to Mexico City, I think im getting mine tomorrow!!! =)
