Well it finally left china @5:30 am local time. Maybe it will make it to american soil by friday and i will get it on monday since ups does not deliver on weekends
Mine is on the truck to be delivered today. Honestly, within the course of 24 hours it went through China, Japan, Alaska, Kentucky, into Florida, onto a truck, and hopefully within a few hours into my hands. Once it moves from the EPZ in china, it will really start moving.
Glad they told me it was going to be delivered MONDAY then try to deliver it on a SAT or I could of been there for it.

yes i just shipped my ipad 16gb no 3g black with an engraving on the 13th of augaust it is now sunday so dont expect it to get here today but i need to know WHEN WILL IT GET HERE!!?!??!?!?!? THE SUSPENCE IS KILLING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am also quite angry with apple for not providing accurate shipping timelines. I ordered on Aug 9, and paid $12 extra for 2-3 days shipping. The UPS tracking site is just showing 'Departure scan'...

Does anyone know what this really means? There are 3 'Departure Scans' ... I don't even know if my iPad is on it's way to the US or still in Chengdu ???

It'si out of apples control once ups gets it you should have it within 3 days.
And why did you pay for faster shipping if you say you need the product by a certain dates you get free next day delivery.

It is standard free delivery ... I paid $12 extra for 2-3 days delivery as I needed the iPad delivered by the 15th (16th morning at max). Apparently, it is 2-3 days shipping from the time UPS gets it. For some reason the iPad was sitting in Chengdu and surrounding areas for 3-4 days.
It's in Louisville, KY ... fingers crossed that it clears custom soon.

I ordered my iPad 2 on the 1st of august and it was here on the 4th couldn't ask for any quicker 3days it took to the UK.
