It has much more details about where the package actually is and why it might show up as still in the island. For me, it was actually moving around while it said it was only in lantau island. Your package is probably about to fly across the ocean so don't worry. Mine spent about 3 days in asia before getting to alaska and on the same day to oakland (15 minutes from me).

I ordered an iPad yesterday, 3/19. My ship date is estimated as April 28th. Gives me lots of time to change my mind.

mine must be in the same shipment as yours! Bummer!

Thanks JETSFOO. I was looking for this but couldn't find it. According to FedEx my package has "departed Memphis, TN" and on yahoo it is in Orlando which is about 45 minutes from me which makes sense since FedEx told me it would be delivered tomorrow.

I ordered two iPads: both black, 3G at&t at 1:00 AM on March 11th at the same time. One is 32gb the other is 64gb they shipped on two separate days and are on two completely different paths:

They had the "preparing for shipment" at about the same time, but the 64gb one shipped a day before (and has an estimated delivery of a day before)

I found it funny that they where ordered at the same time, yet one is off of Lantau, while the other one has been stuck their for 3 days. Also, the 32gb went from Shenzen to Lantau, then back to shenzen, the back to Lantau and finally on to sennan-shi. So, even though they were ordered at the same time, and are going to the same place, ones in Japan while the other is in China. I don't mind waiting though, I know Fedex is doing their best. I saw a few others whose iPads were stuck in Lantau as well.

Notice the first two lines...It says PACKAGE IN instead of PACKAGE STATUS...maybe its ready to go our tonight?

My 64gb is on the same shipment as your 32gb one. You're in ATL? I'm nearby in Huntsville. Expected delivery on 23rd. Stuck in Japan for a while, hoping it gets here!

I have the same messed up timeline as you and others. Mine is a black 16gb WiFi

The 32gb one is in Japan and isn't due til Thursday the 24th, did your's go back and forth between shenzen and Lantau?

No, it was pretty straight forward, relatively. It's just been sitting in Japan a while. See, that's the part I don't understand, is the complete inconsistency involved. I'm sorry, I'm tired of all these people saying "Stop complaining, FedEx is doing a great job" etc. Actually, both Apple and FedEx are not doing a great job. Logic dictates shipping and delivery is based on order time...obviously that didn't work out. And now we have shipments that were ordered hours after the release on the 11th, but only sit in Japan or Lantau a few hours and delivered early; while those of us that ordered on or even before the release time have had bottlenecks that last for DAYS! I'm heading out of the country for a month this week, so any delay is serious!

My estimated date is still the 22nd, but I'm hoping it gets here tomorrow as well (it's only 15 minutes away from me O_O). But seeing as they aren't open on Sundays, they may take monday to sort it instead of send it out for delivery. We'll see though!

I cant think of a reason why yours (and mine) shouldnt be delivered tomorrow.
