iPad 2 Shipping

Has anyone that has had their iPad already ship seen it move from Lantau Island, HK? Nothing has changed as far as the ship date or the delivery date, it just has not moved in a day or so.

Mac Mini 2.4ghz, Mac OS X (10.6.6), Iphone 3g,

Hmm... not good news. I ordered 32/ATT Black at 12:52 am 3/11 and a lot of others ordering around that time have had it ready for shipping or already shipped; mine is still not shipped.

Someone mentioned the tsunami in Japan affecting planes but I thought that would only affect Japan travel. Looks like there really is an area-wide holdup.

Mine is only showing the accessory cover I ordered has shipped and is in Lantau Island, Hong Kong. Probably customs, before it comes here....My IPad 2 was engraved and ready for shipping, but not yet? I ordered on the 11th at 3 a.m. my time, 1a.m. California time.

My order has been canceled twice after the deduction of the amount. Then shipped the cover. I do not know why the request was canceled.

I'm curious myself about shipping. I ordered mine on the 11th and all of my accessories have shipped, but my engraved ipad is not set to ship until April 2nd. I keep logging on hoping to see that change, but it hasn't at all, figured it was because of the engraving, but now that I see someone else received notice of their engraved ipad ready to ship I worry it may truly take that long.

i ordered my ipad on the 11th like most of you guys did. The accessories have been shipped, but the ipad (with engraving) has not. I called Apple and they avoided the question: (are the issues in japan affecting the shipping) and the represented kept saying, "you going to love your ipad when you get it!"...finally i stopped asking the question. as of right now it says that it will be shipping on the 18th. I hope that everything works out. : (

Mine is Alaska too but the Fed Ex page now says that their service has been disrupted due to the earthquake so....

The red notice about the disrupted service is for Fedex service in Japan (coming into and going out of). If your package is in Alaska, it will be at your destination by the scheduled delivery date.

Exactly, I love how some people will glance over a notice but fail to read the entire thing and then make an assumption.

If the pattern is similar to other things, they should move from Alaska to Kentucky where FedEx has their central hub and they will pass through US customs. From there they head in all directions.
