Voice memos on iTunes

Hello,

I have an iphone 4 and I took a rather important voice memo of an interview, but its too long to send via email. In itunes I cant see it because I manage my music manually. How do I get the voice memo off my phone? If I turn sync on will I lose the voice memo?! (the music isnt important)

Although voice memos are stored in your iTunes library when syncing voice memos, voice memos are not iTunes content such as music, movies, podcasts, and 3rd party apps. Switching to syncing music and videos will remove all iTunes content from your iPhone but not any voice memos on your iPhone which are not stored and accessed with the iPod on your iPhone.

Voice memos are included with your iPhone's backup so to be on the safe side, make sure your iPhone's backup has been updated to include this voice memo.

Hi. I'm in a similar quandary -- I have a voice memo I need to transfer from iPhone to iMac. I don't see a way to do that easily, and I don't understand the instructions Allan left. So Allan, can you walk me through this step-by-step, pretty please??

If you are syncing music and video, not manually managing music and video - you have Sync Music selected under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, there should be an option under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes for syncing Voice Memos. Select it followed by selecting Apply and a sync. An iTunes playlist will be created by iTunes automatically where all voice memos on your iPhone will be copied to and available for listening with iTunes on your computer.

Hmmmm, not sure....but this MAY be my problem. If I'm getting this, I can't sync what isn't there; although itunes plays voice memos, no other device will unless it's the device that recorded them. I may have just confused myself with that. 😕

I got a Voice Memos playlist that is empty with thirty voice memos still on the iPhone. Some of the voice memos are short, some are two hours long. None of them got transfered. How do I get them onto my Mac???

My computer recently crashed and was restored back to the factory settings which meant I had to redownload iTunes. I'll also have to redownload all my music which means I'll have to resync my phone. I have VERY important voice memos on my phone and I wanted to know if they would get deleted when I resync my phone to this new iTunes.
