aperture on multiple computers?

do i need to purchase a new copy of aperture for (more) each my komputars?

i really need to work and sync (and use as backup) on more than one machine

If you buy from the App store you can install it on all your Macs.

When you say "apple store" you mean the virtual store?
I bought Aperture in a real "apple store"

I bought a boxed version of Aperture originally and could install it on two machines. But they could not run Aperture simultaneously when connected to the same network.
It seems that this restriction has been lifted since the release of Apple´s App Store. Both machines now run Aperture simultaneously. But since Aperture isn´t working as a server you should not work on your library with several machines.

Hi Terence

I have the same question but one mac is mine and the other is my wife's and she has her own Apple ID of course. Will she be able to download Aperture from the App Store using her own Apple ID after I've purchased it on my mac using my Apple ID?

No.

But you can log into the App Storw ith your ID and download it. And you'll need your ID for updating it too, from time to time.

I am still trying to figure out....I have a copy of Aperture on my mac book air. I would like to install it on my new mac book pro. When I went to my Apps store account, it indicates an amount. I did not dare to proceed further as when I click the Aperture download, it will bring me to my account details credit card etc....
