iPad 2 - Apps crash constantly

So Ive had my iPad since Friday. Everything is fine, but my apps crash after a awhile. Looking at the error log on my MacBook pro, it seems that the iPad is running out of memory. So I did a hard reset and removed my background apps, and it works for awhile. It's just annoying that I have to do this a couple times a day. Is there any other solution? Thanks.

Interesting. I too have noticed more app crashes on the iPad 2, in just the short time I've used it. I figured it was the apps (I'd say Pulse crashes the most, but have had Safari and iBooks close unexpectedly as well), but never thought to check the logs-I'll have to do that.

Just curious, did you restore/transfer your iPad 1 settings/apps directly to your iPad 2, or are you using a completely new setup? I transferred mine, and am considering doing a full restore, to see if the backup thing brought some old settings with it.

This may sound simple but are you running lots of apps in the background? This will take up memory. Double click home button. Pull up multitasking bar. Hold on app until red minus appears. Close each app. This will not delete but will completely close the app from running in the background.

I have to do this from time to time because I run lots of memory intense apps.

Hope this helps you out. It helped mine stop crashing.

Have a great day.

I do remove the background apps every day. I use my iPhone 4 constantly as well and hardly have to do this as much as I do with the iPad 2. I'm just going to give it time until Apple comes out with a decent iOS update that will fix all these issues.

Off topic: Still have the ugly tint on my iPad. Seems to me like it got worse instead of better. Oh well. It doesn't bother me as much anymore as it use too. I'm starting to get use to it now. I just don't want to return it as I just put on my full-body invisible shield and I don't want a refurbished iPad.

I have the same problem, but I need to restart the iPad to get it usable again, cause manually closing the apps in multitasking bar doesn't solve the issue.

This happens daily, so tomorrow I will call Apple Technical Support.

I got a video but the upload button is disabled.

I'm sorry for my English.

Have a nice Monday!

i'm having a few tech problems on my iPad 2 also - shaded white/gray area above home button on screen and occasionally get a flash from the screen, like a camera flash (as you know, these don't have Flash in more than one meaning. ;-). ). Apple is telling me to bring it in. I feel the same way; I bought it new just a few weeks ago and should get a new one as a replacement, if needed. i'm just holding out hope that the product is too new to have refurbs.

I recently purchased an iPad 2 and I'm finding there are several apps that crash and require restart - the ones I've noticed the most are miCal, tweeteck and some other 3rd party apps.

I've updated to the latest iOS version but still happening.

Apart from this I love my iPad 2 - just please fix the crashes.
