Can't click "Check for Updates" on Apps tab of iTunes library

Can't click "Check for Updates" on Apps tab of iTunes library

My iPhone is showing that I have a number of updates to download however when i plug my phone in and go into itunes, I am unable to click the "Check for Updates" button. The text is greyed out and can't be clicked.

I have tried re-installing itunes and wiping the apps from my phone and resyncing them with the apps on my laptop.

Any suggestions?

Let's make sure you're looking in the right place. Click on the Apps icon under the Library header. You'll see all your apps listed, and at the lower-right corner of the iTunes window you'll see a "Check for Updates" link. Is that the one you've been trying?
