MacBook Pro 15" Early 2011 - Airport Issues

I received my new Macbook Pro last week.

Frequently Airport looses its connection to my Airport Extreme Base Station. Tp resolve I have to turn off Airport on the MacBook Pro and turn back on.

Is this a problem others are having or do I have a faulty product?.

Advice much appreciated.

Same here on a MacBook Pro 13" early 2011.
My connection to an airport extreme drops irregularly, but at least 4 to 5 times during a working day.
When it happens, all known networks are lost (no longer visible in the Airport menu). Selecting the Airport menu item will rescan the networks. After some time it will find all networks again and reconnect to my default network.

I'm having terrible issues with my new 2011 Macbook Pro.
Airport just doesn't want to play ball at all.
I'm struggling to keep a signal for any longer than about 30 mins, and that is a personal best!
It repeatedly asks me for wifi passwords that should be saved as well.
And reconnecting to any network once a connection is lost takes quite a while.
Sometimes I sit by my router and it still can't find it. I'm amazed....

I bought an Airport Express as well and they just won't work together.
As soon as I attempt to play through Airtunes the light flashes amber and the unknown error kicks in.

I'm bought a top spec 15" Macbook Pro Model with 2.3Ghz i7 8Gb, and I'm completely amazed that Apple can sell a product for near £3000 and it not connect to wireless networks successfully?

I'm astonished. I've booked to go and see them in store, but I'm so unimpressed.

I'm lost. My MBP 10.6.7 has 12 days and Airport does not keep a signal for more than 2 hours. Sometimes, it just not find it. It repeatedly asks me for WPA that should be saved. When I'm close the router, the signal still low. And reconnecting to any network once a connection is lost takes quite a while.
It's seems that I'm not alone, so...

Hi everyone I was/am still having a similar problem. First it will keep asking me to re-enter the wpa password then either say it is incorrect or the network will time out. I rang applecare and they assisted me to..

go into your macHD-library-preferences-systemconfiguration- then move preferences.plist to trash empty restart. This didnt do anything to help and still had the same problem. However after doing this if you go into your personal library-keychains- move your keychains to trash and empty it- then restart it should work. U fortunately every time you do delete the keychain is obviously deletes all your saved password. It is not a permanent fix it worke for about 3 days but now I am experiencing the same problem, it is a nightmare having to do this process every 30 minutes to an hour. I it continues I will call them again to day and update this topic.

Regards

Same problem here!

Macbook Pro 13' (early 2011), base model; Mac Os X 10.6.7.
Linksys-Cisco WRT160NL access point, WPA network.

Wireless connection drops every 2 minutes and to restore it,you have to both close and re-open the notebook lid (sleep-unsleep) or disable-enable Airport card!
