You'll have to dig through, there's no list, it'd be huge, though.
Going through the Apple Pro Training Series book on FCSvr 1.5 shows a lot of stuff, too. -
Mar 17, 2011 10:02 AM in response to Henry H.by Henry H.,Thanks for the reply. I didn't see anything in the links you provided that specifically applied to metadata groups actions. Here's what I've come up with so far and I'd appreciate if someone could confirm or deny my accuracy and fill in the blanks. These are the actions available when modifying or creating a metadata group.
•List – creates a list view in the main window (next to thumbnail group)
•Thumbnails – put the fields of group under the thumbnail image of the asset info window.
•Edit Details - if you want this group’s metadata fields to be editable
•Create - if you want this group’s metadata fields to be available when creating a new asset
•View Details- group available when viewing asset’s details
•Info-?
•Search-?

Mar 17, 2011 10:49 AM in response to Henry H.by John F. Whitehead,Your description above is wrong - like thumbnail views are controlled by the settings BenB provided, not by this setting.
Why does it matter?
What are you trying to do that you can't?
There are quite a few parts of Final Cut Server that are for internal use only, or are remnants of the original ArtBox codebase and feature set. Don't worry about them if you don't need them. -
Mar 17, 2011 11:12 AM in response to John F. Whiteheadby Henry H.,Hi John,
Thanks for the correction. It actually will impact the area I talked about but only if the display priority of the group you add it too is set above (numerically lower) the assettilesview group.
As to your other point, I'm new to this and setting up the environment. I'm trying to fully understand the tools I have to work with. I can't tell if I need something if I don't know what it does. I figured if it was visible, it probably did something, possibly something important or useful.
If you see anything else in my list that is incorrect, please let me know.
