Is middle C incorrectly identified in Track Editor Piano Roll?

Middle C is C4 on the piano. When entering notes in the Track Editor piano roll view, I have to enter the note as C3 in order to get it to appear as middle C in the score view. To me the note sounds like middle C, not C3 one octave lower. Do others agree? Can the Garage Band development team please fix it?

You are talking about Scientific Pitch Notation when you say middle C is C4.

Unfortunately, there are several nomenclature systems in use with digital music. Apple is using the midi standard definition of middle C as C3, which is common to most music apps. (Midi notation can label middle C as C3-C5; very confusing)

In GB C3 in the piano roll is middle C, equivalent to C4 in SPN. I also wish Apple, along with everyone else, would standardize on this.
