Camera Roll Album cannot be selected

To be honest these are the solutions that may or may not work.

First thing I would try is rebooting the phone by holding the sleep/wake button and home button for 15 seconds until you see the white apple logo.

If that doesn't work I would restore from backup. If that doesn't work I would restore as new. If all else fails take it to your closest apple store they may replace the phone for a working one..

I have had this issue as well. The first thing I did was reboot, and it fixed it. Since then it has happened again, and I don't know what causes this. It is quite annoying to have to reboot every time this happens. I hope there is a good answer/fix out there.

Ditto. I can't say when I first noticed this but it's recent - I am guessing since iOS4.3. It is really annoying because I don't have my camera app on the same screen as the photos app,

An Apple Genius once told me it's a good idea to reboot on a regular basis. So, instead of waiting for an issue to happen, just reboot your phone once or twice a month. I do on both my iP4's and never have any problems.....

An old wise man once told me, make it work right the first time and you wont have to fix it over and over.

And another wise man realized that all things, especially electronical gadgets, must have proper and regular maintenance to operate at peak efficiency.

Clearly BadSanta needs to learn a few things about electronics.......

This happened to me the other day. I was able to fix just by quitting and relaunching the Photos app.

1) Press the home button once to get to the Home Screen.
2) Double press the Home button it to bring up the multitasking bar.
3) Click and hold on the Photos App.
4) Once the - signs come up on the apps, click on Photos to quit it.

When you relaunch Photos, I bet the problem will have cleared itself up.

This worked for me as well and is what I've been doing most of the time. It works, but it doesn't solve the overall problem of this needing a permanent fix.

Thank you - haven't tried reboot; but de-selecting from the multitask bar suggestion worked for me. Only began having the problem after last iPhone 4 OS 4.3 update.
