Stop Safari from opening iTunes Music Store

How do I stop Safari from opening the iTunes Music Store when viewing iTunes Store pages? I do this rather frequently and it gets bothersome having to switch back to my browser window constantly.

Is there a proper setting for it? I couldn't find one. I also already tries to change how .itms files are opened to Safari instead of iTunes, which was a suggestion on the internet, but this doesn't work either.

Macbook Pro 15", Mac OS X (10.6.3)

I followed the instructions on the following page and it's working for me:

[http://gigaom.com/apple/how-to-stop-itunes-web-links-from-opening-itunes/|http: //gigaom.com/apple/how-to-stop-itunes-web-links-from-opening-itunes>

I just changed the default program from iTunes to Safari in the Get Info window.

The instructions do mention that you have to log off or restart your Mac in order for the changes to take effect. The author also mentions that it's a Javascript function that launches iTunes so a more dramatic alternative is to disable Javascript.

I'm also running 10.6.6 and your profile says you're on 10.6.3. So perhaps you need to update OSX?

The article also mentions how to disable auto-open-iTunes for Firefox and Chrome, so an additional alternative could be to use one of those browsers.

@Asatoran:
Already followed the instruction at that page, as mentioned in my original post. It doesn't seem to be working.

And don't want to change from browser just for this. What strikes me as odd is that I remember one of the applications actually asking me if I wanted to open iTunes when viewing Store urls. Plain stupid that if it asks, that it isn't reversible :/

Oh well.
