Transfer of iPhone 3Gs contacts to sim card

Does anyone know how I can transfer my 300 plus contacts from my phone or apple account to the sim card. My 3gs stores the contacts on the phone itself and not the sim card. I have a seperate home landline with a sim card reader and it would make it so much easier if Apple had a method or facility to do this.

Any answers?

The iPhone doesn't use the SIM for contacts nor saves them there. SIM card data structures do not allow for the complexity of a real address book. The iPhone syncs with a computer to backing up contacts.
