Is the Magic Trackpad designed upside down?

Using the trackpad 1 upside down improves the ergonomics much and it has worked in El Captian. Once I installed Sierra, I cannot make it upside down anymore by any method I can find for previous version.
And if your like me and don't have a root password, here is the beta on that:

Sudo usually asks you for your own password, not the root one.
It's specifically designed to avoid having to give everyone the root password!
So a small part of flippety flop's post (the part on sudo) and all of sun and soul's post may not be that useful.
I am using a trackpad 1 with my MBP. the trick worked really well for Trackpad 1 with EL Capitan till I upgraded to Sierra and so far I have tried similar ways but so far nothing works....
