Q: Search Status issue

Hello,

In FCSrv I have assets with Status = [None] and others with Status = Approved.

If I filter Status Equals Approved I receive the list of Approved asstes.

But, if I filter Status Not Equals Approved, where I exptect to receive the list of the asset with Status [None] or others, I receive an empty list.

Someone have any idea

Thanks

Ruben

There isn't a way to search for a null value in FCSvr's GUI.

So it's good practice to always choose a value for the fields you might want to use for filtering.
Most of my lookups contain the value 'Undefined'. So in case I can't or don't want to specify a value for a certain field I'm giving it in some occasions the value 'Undefined'.

The value 'Undefined' also comes in handy when you want to trigger on the change of a certain field. While it's impossible to reset the field to the (non)value [NONE] a reset to 'Undefined' makes it possible to re-run the modify subscription with the trigger on the same field when needed.
